During our half day together we will: - Visit of a Parmigiano Reggiano (parmesan cheese) factory + cheese tasting - Visit of a acetaia (Traditional Balsamic Vinegar producer) + balsamic vinegar tasting - Happy hour break (includes wine & balsamic paired with seasonal or homemade products) Transfer from Bologna to Modena in private car and return included in the price (for 3pax max. We will meet up in the morning on the beautiful Modena's hills to see first-hand all the different steps of production of one of the world most famous and tasty cheeses, PARMIGIANO REGGIANO DOP. We'll learn together how it's made, how different ages differ form one another, how to tell an authentic Parmigiano Reggiano apart form copies and, most important, what does DOP (protected denomination of origin) means.
After visiting the cheese factory (and tasting their amazing cheese!), we will drive to an acetaia (Balsamic Vinegar house) where, surrounded by vineyards and cherry trees, we will learn the secrets of producing thie precious "black gold" of Modena.
After visiting the acetaia, we will try different ages of Balsamic Vinegar and match it with some seasonal products for a very special snack.
The itinerary is set in the countryside and does not include visiting Bologna, Modena or other nearby towns. View Location
