Caldeira

Praia do Almoxarife
Horta, PortugalVisit to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with views of Pico, S. Jorge and Graciosa islands. This is the largest volcanic sand beach in Faial and one of the largest in the Azores.
You will have free time at this location. You can choose to have a drink at a local cafe, take a walk along the beach, around the parish, or take a swim in our temperate waters.

Miradouro Ponta Furada

We will visit the Natural Pools of Porto do Comprido. These pools were formed by basalt rocks, which resulted from the solidification of incandescent lava in the sea.

Pickup details
Tour operator will pick up all customers from their respective locations; or, customers can make their own way to the start point- Travelers can choose a custom pickup or meeting location.
- • The pick up for the tour will be between 9:15 and 9:30. The guide will be in a grey Opel van. Locations of pick up: 1- outside the reception of your hotel/ accommodation in Horta; 2- at the Maritime Terminal; 3- one of the suggested meeting points that you select.

- During the bathing season there is the possibility of taking a dip at Praia do Almoxarife. There is a changing room at this location. Bring clothes and a bath towel. The only rule is to get into the van with dry clothes.
