Cortona and its countryside inspired also the famous film "Under the tuscan sun". Montepulciano
Montepulciano, ItalySecond stop with a free visit of the town and guided wine-tastings in the historic cellars of Montepulciano.
Montepulciano is a medieval and Renaissance hill town.
Renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, it is known worldwide for its wine: Nobile and Red of Montepulciano. Our driver escort will guide you through the incredible underground cellars, where a qualiquified winemaker will show you gigantic oak barrels, in which the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and the Rosso di Montepulciano DOC “rest”. At the end of the visit, you will attend a delicious wine tasting of the best wines, with an explanation of their basic characteristics.
