Things to know
About the Activity
Why book with A wee pedal? We are Visit Scotland's award winning 'Best outdoor experience' praised for high quality guest experience whilst supporting the local community. We have no need to use vehicles as we start right on the cycle path and are proudly named a zero-carbon company. Groups are kept small for high guest experience and safety and you'll learn about this ancient city whilst having a lot of fun with our qualified and experienced guides. This is a fun ride with the promise of an ice cream (or coffee!) on the beach or inside to warm up if in winter. It is a 12 mile round trip. You will start right in the heart of Craigmillar Castle grounds, close to the city centre and easily accessed by foot, bus, taxi or car (there is free on-site parking) E-bikes can be hired at an additional cost of £20pp cash on the day. Please let me know if you would like this option. (If you think you would prefer a longer tour, please check out our '20 mile circular tour of Edinburgh 4.5 hours)3 hours

This tour is 12 miles round trip on mostly traffic-free cycle paths. We use manual hybrid bikes, but if you would like an E-bike please tell me at time of booking and I shall reserve one for you. Please bring £20pp on the day to hire E-bike. No extra charge for manual bike. We shall head through the beautiful Craigmillar Park, home of Craigmillar Castle, before heading through the 19th Century Victorian Railway tunnel taking us into Holyrood Park and riding past our extinct volcano, Arthur's Seat. We then head onto cycle paths all the way to the coast for coffee or Ice cream! This is perfect for families or those who want a gentle ride to the beach. We shall stop at historic sights and learn a little history about this ancient city.
Weather in Scotland is changeable and we ride in the rain as this does not affect the tour. Please bring a waterproof jacket. • Admission Ticket FreeView Location
