Lakkam Waterfalls
Udumalpet Rd, Kannan Devan Hills, India, 685620Also known as Lakkom Falls, Munnar’s Lakkam Waterfalls are located 7,300 feet above the sea level. An interesting feature about this waterfall is that it starts from a plateau and not a hill, which is the case with most other falls. Originating from the Eravikulam Plateau, Lakkam Waterfalls collect into a pool.
Ensconced in a green surrounding, Lakkam Waterfalls are enclosed by a dense collection of Vaga trees and boulders which one needs to climb to get very close to the falls. Marayoor Sandalwood Forest
Marayur, India, 685620This beautiful destination is the only place in Kerala that has natural sandalwood forests and the vast sugarcane farms, known for the best variety of solid molasses (Jaggery in Malayalam). If you want to explore this heavenly place and enjoy the sight of aromatic sandalwood trees, then Marayoor is not very far away from Munnar.
