Monkey Island
Madre de Dios River, Puerto Maldonado, PeruWe will pick you up from the hotel, bus station or airport in Puerto Maldonado and transfer you to our office. We will then take a trip for about 40 minutes along the Madre de Dios River to reach our lodge. Afterward, you will enjoy a refreshing fruit juice at our lodge.
We will settle you into your room, have a quick rest, and then begin our jungle walk where we will see lush vegetation (some trees are 500 years old), birds such as parrots, macaws, monkeys, snakes, and a variety of insects such as butterflies, and finally enjoy a suspension bridge, after our hiking we will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, we will visit Monkey Island. Here you will see more than three species of monkeys, such as capuchin monkeys, marmosets, and squirrel monkeys, among others.
After this, we will return to the lodge for dinner and in the evening we will take a night walk for caiman searching.
