Eat, drink, and be merry on our premiere 3-hour walking, cultural food tour of beautiful Mainstrasse Village located 5 minutes south of downtown Cincinnati on the banks of the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky. Linger in the German village, soaking up the charm of European architecture, a glockenspiel, cobblestone streets and fountains. he Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitor's Bureau commissioned noted Greek sculptor Eleftherios Karkadoulias to do the piece. Using his daughter as a model, he worked over one and a half years and cast the Goose Girl using the "lost wax" method. The fountain was erected and unveiled in October of 1980. Goebel Park is best known for it's iconic German-style Carroll Chimes Clock Tower. Architect Addison Clipson was commissioned to design the tower and worked with partner Bill Batson. No redemption point. This is a direct entry ticketWe gather 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour at Cedar Restaurant, 701 Main St, Covington, KY 41011. Street parking is free on Saturday. Or there is a pay parking lot behind Cedar Restaurant. The parking lot address is 417 W. 7th Street, Covington KY 41011. Guests who have an aversion to pork or are vegetarians, must call Riverside Food Tours 48 hours prior to the tour to request a meatless option. We cannot accommodate those guests with food/nut allergies, diabetes, celiac disease, lo sodium, lo carb or who require special dietary dishes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (an umbrella if needed). Bring a water bottle for hydration in warm weather. We walk a distance of 1.25 miles over the course of 3 hours. Guest must be physically fit enough to walk a few blocks at a time.Cancellation & Refunds
