Ait Ben Haddou
Ait Ben Haddou, MoroccoAt 8:00 AM, we will set off on our journey toward the desert, traversing the stunning Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we'll pass through the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, pausing at several scenic spots for photos and to admire the breathtaking landscapes. We'll also visit a local argan oil cooperative to learn about the production and traditional uses of this precious oil.
Accompanied by a local guide, you'll explore the historic village of Ait Benhaddou, home to the famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic location has served as the backdrop for numerous well-known films, including The Gladiator and The Jewel of the Nile.
After enjoying lunch, we will continue our drive to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the gateway to the desert. From there, we’ll travel through the Valley of Roses, passing the vast palm groves of Skoura and Boumalne.
