About the Activity

Paulina, born and raised in Athens, is an active and creative person, whose cooking passion was originated by the valuable taste memories of her grandmother Helen. Having been associated with various touristic fields, she now owns a very special family restaurant with her mother Effie in the beautiful island of Paros. They both love traditional recipes and homemade food and the last few years have decided to open their home to travelers from around the world. People who visit them will also meet their lovely and cute dog, Aegea.

Take part in a 3 - hour interactive procedure, which includes kneading and baking homemade phyllo and traditional bread. Let your hostesses share precious Greek recipes with you to impress your family and friends back home. Last but not least, socialize with Paulina, Effie and other guests and clink your glasses! That special memory of Greece will stay forever in your heart! Starters
  • Village Bread - With a unique flavor and texture, this type of bread used to be baked in outdoor wood fired ovens.
  • Tzatziki Sauce - Probably one of the most popular Greek delicacies, Tzatziki Sauce is a simple appetizer mainly consisting of yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, and vinegar.
  • Skordalia - It is basically a Greek garlic dip or spread made by combining crushed garlic with a thick base such as day-old bread or puréed potatoes.
  • Red Pepper Sauce - A mildly spicy dish traditionally prepared with red peppers originating from Florina, a city located in Northern Greece.
  • Olive Pasta - From Koroneiki and Kalamata, to Megaritiki and Throuba, Greece is home to a great abundance of olive tree varieties.
Main Courses
  • Spinach Pie - A trademark of Greece’s rural culture, this is a savory pie where spinach, feta, olive oil and herbs are baked in a golden, crispy phyllo dough.
  • Pumpkin Pie - Although pumpkins are rarely associated with the Greek cuisine, this dish combines the natural sweetness of pumpkin with the salty feta cheese.
  • Lettuce Pie - Lettuce, which is grown outdoors throughout the year, mainly from early Autumn to late Spring, is an integral element of many Greek dishes.
Deserts
  • Orange Pie - Also called Portokalopita this uniquely designed sweet combines phyllo pastry with orange juice and zest, accompanied by sugar, eggs and milk.
  • Milopita - The Greek version of apple pie with cinnamon, halfway between a soft cake dough and a pastry.
