About the Activity

We are pleased to announce the luxury experience "Nagoya Castle Premium Concert [Rie Asai’s Mythological Tale]" produced by the world-famous koto artist "Rie Asai". This new service, which will be launched in the spring of 2025 from the Nagoya Castle, a national treasure, will provide the world with authentic luxury experiences by leading artists of traditional Japanese culture with the theme of "art and sustainability". Set in the "Kujaku-no-Ma" of the Honmaru Palace of Nagoya Castle, a national treasure, the "Amano Iwato" written in the Kojiki will be narrated by Rie Asai and performed with traditional instruments such as not only the koto but also the shamisen, sho, and kagura bells, and will be entirely in English. You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with the performing artists and try playing the koto and kagura bells yourself. It is an experience program that allows overseas visitors to enjoy while gaining a deeper understanding of Japanese traditional culture.
