About the Activity

This tour is great for those who would like to get a full understanding of Gustav Klimt’s art by visiting the three museums that exhibit his most prominent works. We start at the Belvedere Palace. This is where you can see "The Kiss" and "Judith", the most famous paintings of the “Golden Period”. "The Kiss" is one of the most iconic tourist landmarks of the city, and we begin our tour here to understand the context and origins of Klimt’s art. After that, we will go to the exhibition hall of the Secession to see Klimt’s biggest work, the "Beethoven Frieze". This is the only work by this artist that purposely fully surrounds the viewer, which means that this is your chance to become one with art. Our third stop is the Leopold Museum. Here, we’ll find "Death and Life". We will examine this canvas in detail to understand why it was so significant for his artistic career. We are also going to have a look at Klimt’s landscapes to see his maturity and complete our tour of his artistic inheritance.

Ticket Redemption

No redemption point. This is a direct entry ticketThank you for choosing our tour of Gustav Klimt’s Art in Vienna! Your guide's name is Julia. You can contact her by phone or via WhatsApp/Telegram at +4368110630689. We start our tour at the Belvedere Gallery. Keep in mind that its address Prinz-Eugen-Straße 27, 1030 Vienna, Austria is the street address of the entire Belvedere Garden and Palace Complex. However, the meeting point for the tour is in front of the Belvedere Gallery (also called the Belvedere Palace or the Upper Belvedere) in which the museum is located. It is a 100 meter walk from the street. Your guide will be waiting for you on the right side of the entrance to the Belvedere Gallery (it is at your right if you look at it from the front, it is at your left, if you turn your back to it). If you see a breathtaking view of Vienna, you are at the meeting point. If you see the palace but not the city view, then please move to the opposite side of the building. There is just one entrance to the museum, so just follow the "Museum entrance" sign. Contact your guide if you have any questions or have difficulties finding the meeting point or her. Have an inspiring experience!
