About the Activity
Wine Tasting, in the vineyards. Head over the mountains into Eastern Washington, leaving the rainy coastal climate of Seattle for the sun-drenched desert hills of the Yakima and Columbia valleys. You'll see lush evergreen forests and semi-arid sagebrush on this interesting travel route to the wine country. Your guide will pick you up at your agreed upon location and head east toward the Cascades. Sample wines from each of 3 wineries, noting the differences in each glass by the area's distinctive features, from soil and terrain to sun exposure and rainfall. You may pick 2 wineries in the area (not too far out of the way), or we have some pre-set ones that are popular. Stop along the way to complement your tastings with a tasty lunch, or enjoy the food offerings at the wineries.10 hours
