The Eider Barrage is located at the mouth of the Eider River near Tönning on the German North Sea coast. Its main objective is protection against storm surges in the North Seas. Multimar WattforumThe Multimar Wattforum in Tönning is the largest information center for the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park.
