About Leuchtturm Dahmeshöved
The Dahmeshöved lighthouse is a beacon in the municipality of Dahme in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein. It was built in 1878/79 according to plans by Ludwig Alexander Veitmeyer on a Höved and was used for shipping on the Lübeck-Gedser-Weg in the Lübeck and Mecklenburg Bay. Leuchtturm StaberhukThe Staberhuk lighthouse is located in the southeast of the island of Fehmarn, a few kilometers east of the Fehmarnsund Bridge. Together with the Flügge lighthouse, it marks the route in Fehmarnsund. The tower is equipped with the original belt lens from the English lighthouse on Heligoland, which was dismantled in 1902. It has a height of 2.41 m and a focal length of 925 mm. It was one of the main attractions in this area.

Sharks and tropical coral gardens are presented on an area of 3000 m² or 4 million liters of seawater. In the 3 million liter ocean aquarium there are several types of shark. In a 0.4 million liter tank with an underwater tunnel, there are rays and groupers. The tropical marine animals such as corals, jellyfish, seahorses, and coral fish have presented in around 35 individual aquariums.
Bird Park NiendorfThe Niendorf bird park in Niendorf in the municipality of Timmendorfer Strand is a bird park with numerous domestic and exotic bird species. With over 1000 birds from over 250 different species and an area of 7 hectares, it is one of the largest bird parks in Germany. The bird park is also active in the offspring and rearing of young animals.
