About Ponte Pietra
The Pietra bridge is the oldest bridge in Verona on the Adige river, the only one remaining from Roman times. Having survived several floods, it was made to shine during the Second World War by retreating German soldiers, then rebuilt by reassembling the stones recovered from the river bed by anastylosis. The bridge was completed in 100 BC, and the Via Postumia from Genoa to Aquileia passed over it.Address : 37121 Verona, VR, Italy
