About Arbatax

Arbatax is the only hamlet in the municipality of Tortolì , in the province of Nuoro , home to the port. Today, the economy is focused on tourism and industry. Arbatax is home to a factory dedicated to the building of oil platforms, controlled by the Italian oil and gas industry contractor Saipem.

Cala dei GabbianiCala dei Gabbiani is a marvelous cove located in east Sardinia, about 18 kilometers south-east of Cala Gonone, and 12 kilometers north-east of Baunei. It ceased to exist on April 7, 2008, with sentence number 626 issued by the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia due to the opposition of the municipalities involved.
