About Timmelsjoch

The Passo del Rombo is an alpine pass in the eastern Rhaetian Alps, on the border between Italy and Austria, which connects the Val Passiria in Alto Adige with the Ötztal in Tyrol. From a geomorphological point of view, the pass separates the Ötztal Alps from the Stubai Alps. The refuge at the top of the pass is the destination of many two-wheel enthusiasts. The pass is one of the coldest places in the Alps and is often lashed by a very cold wind. There is also a small stream.
