About Ponnaniyaru Dam

It is constructed beyond Preumalmalai and Chemmalai. The tourism around the dam is promoted by the Tamil Nadu Department of Tourism. A large number of local people and outsiders visit the dam. There is a bridge without any support of piers on the Ponnaniyaru Dam. It is known as a hanging bridge and offers you the panoramic view of lush green forest and hills. Standing on the bridge, you can see the trains moving on the rails between the hillocks.
