About Bishops' House

Bishops' House is the oldest surviving timber-framed house in Sheffield. It was built around 1500 and is tucked away at the top of Meersbrook Park, from where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city. It is known as Bishops' House because it was said to have been built for two brothers, John and Geoffrey Blythe, both of whom became Bishops.
