About Strines Reservoir
Strines Reservoir is a water storage reservoir situated 8 miles west of the centre of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. The reservoir was constructed in 1869 after the Sheffield Water Committee made the decision in the late 1850s to build four reservoirs in Bradfield Dale to impound water from the surrounding moorland to provide for the growing town of Sheffield.
