Built by the Portuguese, Fort Aguada is a must visit when in Goa. In addition to the rich history, the fort also offers amazing views of the Ocean.

We are here at 10 AM in March and it was sooo warm! There is no shade inside the fort at all. The view towards the sea is pretty amazing from here. You can only see the tower from below, can't climb up by the way.

Aguada Fort
A well preserved 17th-century fort along with a lighthouse overlooking the Arabian sea. It was a reference point for the vessels coming from Europe at that time. A freshwater spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships that used to stop by. This is how the fort got its name: Aguada, meaning Water.
