About Affenberg Landskron
The Affenberg Landskron is a zoo in Villach and at the same time Austria's largest monkey enclosure with around 160 Japanese macaques . The keeping of animals is semi-free compared to other zoos, which means that the animals live in a fenced, wooded property, which represents a 40,000 m² habitat for the monkeys. The Affenberg is a category A zoo operation under Austrian law. It has around 120,000 visitors annually and does not receive any public funding.Address : Schloßbergweg 26, 9523 Villach, Austria

KanzelhöheThe pulpit height is 1524 m above sea level. A. high pre-summit of the Gerlitzen north of Ossiacher See , ten kilometers northeast of Villach in the federal state of Carinthia. On the mountain, which has long been accessible by a cable car, there is a hotel and a little to one side is the Kanzelhöhe solar observatory of the University of Graz, which was built between 1941 and 1942 .
Lake OssiachLake Ossiach is a lake in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It is the state's third largest lake, superseded only by Lake Wörth and Lake Millstatt. It is a dimictic lake with mixing periods in spring and in late autumn. In summer the waters reach 28 °C at the surface. Several uninhabited parts of the shore are protected as natural reserves.
Villach Alpine RoadThe Villach Alpine Road is 16 km long and offers a great view to Carinthia’s beautiful landscape from its several viewpoints. it cover 1,200 altitude metres and offers the most spectacular views and unique experiences. A unique attraction in this area and it also offers nice views fo the nature.
GerlitzenGerlitzen is a small and friendly resort for beginners and improving skiers to practise their skills. The resort has excellent beginner areas and wide, safe runs on well-groomed slopes. The lifts from the Kanzelhoehe, from Kloesterle and from Birkenhof come together up on the 1911 m high Gerlitzen Alpe. The entire ski resort lies at your feet from up there and you can ski down in all directions.
Alpe-Adria-TrailThe Alpe-Adria-Trail connects the three regions of Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and covers a total of 43 stages. It has been designed mainly with pleasure hikers in mind. The Trail runs mainly through the non-Alpine area and as far as possible there are only slight differences in altitude.
Lake FaakA beautiful alpine lake in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It’s Austria’s southernmost bathing lake, just across the border with Slovenia. The crystal-clear lake reaches temperatures of up to 27 °C in the summer. The beautiful shores of the Faaker See lake are not only perfect for sunbathing and bathing, but also surfing, yachting and pedal boat riding can be pursued.
