About Het Amsterdamse Bos
Amsterdamse Bos is Amsterdam’s largest park and recreational area. The lush forests and grassy meadows offer plenty of space for a relaxing picnic with family or friends, and the park is crossed by many kilometres of well-marked walking and cycling paths. The park was mainly built in the early 1930s, mostly by the unemployment relief. In the park, 37 bird species including the common buzzard, 35 bee species including the orange-horned nomad bee, and 6 bat species including the pond bat have been observed.
MuseumpleinThe Museumplein is a public space in the Museumkwartier neighbourhood of the Amsterdam-Zuid borough in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The area was originally a wax candle factory and marshy meadows. Construction began following the completion of the Rijksmuseum in 1885, with a street plan based on the design of Pierre Cuypers, the museum's celebrated architect. The area was the location of the International Colonial and Export Exhibition in 1883.
