About Het Markiezenhof
The Markiezenhof is a late Gothic city palace in the city of Bergen op Zoom , in the Dutch province of North Brabant . It was the residence of the lords and later the marquises of Bergen op Zoom. Exhibitions and events take place in the building. It houses a museum, where you can get acquainted with the way of life of the marquis . There are four period rooms , including the Henriëtte room and the Theodoor room with portraits of former marquises.Address : Steenbergsestraat 8, 4611 TE Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands

Moses BridgeThe West Brabant Water Line is a defence-line consisting of a series of fortresses and cities with inundation areas in the south-west of the Netherlands. It dates from the 17th century but fell into disrepair in the 19th century.The bridge lies like a trench in the fortress and the moat, shaped to blend in with the outlines of the landscape. Fort De RoovereFort De Roovere is an earthen fort, constructed as part of the Dutch Water Line, a series of water-based defences conceived by Maurice of Nassau in 1628 during the Eighty Years War where it defended against Spanish attackers. It is located near Halsteren.The fort is open from the ‘back’, and the ‘front’ consists of two bastions. Until the renovation in 2010 the fort's moat was dry and the surrounding area and banks were overgrown with trees.
Natuurgebied de PluimpotPluimpot is the name of a nature reserve in the Zeeland municipality of Tholen. The area was created after the last part of the Pluimpot was dammed in 1957 as part of the Delta Works . It is located south of Sint Maartensdijk . The area measures 27 ha and is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. It is a foraging and breeding area for birds such as oystercatcher , avocet and common tern.
