Arboretum trompenburgTrompenburg Arboretum is a tree and plant garden on the Honingerdijk in the South Holland city of Rotterdam . The park covers an area of eight hectares . The park contains approximately 4000 different species of trees, shrubs and perennials. A new entrance building was opened in 1996. Due to its design, the former country estate gives the visitor the impression of a walking park rather than a 'collection of trees'. Kralingen LakeKralingen Lake is a body of water of approximately 100 hectares, which is used for small water sports and sport fishing. There are five water sports associations, such as the Rotterdamsche Zeilvereeniging RZV, Koninklijke Roei- en Zeilvereniging De Maas , Boudewina and the Kralingsche Zeil Club . The first association that organized water sports in the lake was Zeilvereeniging Kralingen in 1908, later merged into the Water Sports Association Rotterdam .
