Poudre CanyonThe Poudre Canyon is a narrow verdant canyon, approximately 40 mi long, on the upper Cache la Poudre River in Larimer County, Colorado in the United States. The canyon is a glacier-formed valley through the foothills of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains northwest of Fort Collins. The canyon was inhabited by Utes in the 19th century and was the site of trapping expeditions by early settlers.

There is a large picnic area and The road ends in the Bear Lake parking lot.
Mount RichthofenMount Richthofen is the highest summit of the Never Summer Mountains range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. Today, the mountain is typically climbed from Lake Agnes to the north, easily reachable from Cameron Pass. The mountain is a steep Class 3 climb that often requires travel on steep scree slopes that are not very stable. The mountain was named in honor of pioneering German geologist Baron Ferdinand von Richthofen, apparently by Clarence King's 1870 survey team.

Roosevelt National ForestThe Roosevelt National Forest is a national forest located in north central Colorado. The forest encompasses a mountainous area of the foothills on the eastern side of the Continental Divide of the Front Range in Larimer County and Boulder County. In Larimer County it includes the upper valleys of the Cache la Poudre and Big Thompson Rivers. There are six officially designated wilderness areas lying within Roosevelt National Forest that are part of the National Wilderness Preservation System.
