History of Lake Isabel

In the late 1800s, the area now known as Lake Isabel was home to a thriving community of miners and farmers. The town had a school, a church, and even a newspaper. But all that changed in 1902 when a massive landslide sent a wall of water crashing down on the town, destroying everything in its path.
