However, it is important to note that County Road 2 is only open from late May to early November. If you try to reach Hermosa Creek outside of this time frame, you will need to take an alternate route. Another option is to take Highway 145 from Dolores. 

There is no entrance fee to explore Hermosa Creek. 

The creek is open to the public from dawn to dusk. However, during the winter months, the hours are reduced to 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
