Tips for Visiting Breckenridge Ski Resort

  1. Plan your trip in advance to get the best deals on lodging and lift tickets. Breckenridge is a popular destination, so prices can be higher than other ski resorts.
  2. If you want to save money on lodging, consider staying in one of the nearby towns instead of at the resort itself. Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne are all close to Breckenridge and offer more affordable accommodations.
  3. Once you arrive at the resort, make sure to take advantage of the free shuttle buses that run between the base area and the mountains. This will save you money on parking fees.
  4. If you plan on skiing or snowboarding every day of your trip, purchase a multi-day lift ticket in advance. This will give you a significant discount compared to buying single-day tickets.
  5. When purchasing lift tickets, keep in mind that there are discounts for seniors, students, children, and military personnel. Discounts are also often available if you purchase your tickets online in advance.
  6. If you're traveling with young children, check out Kids Ski Free programs offered at various times throughout the season. These programs provide free lift tickets for children 12 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
  7. Rent your equipment in advance. Again, because Breckenridge is such a popular destination, equipment rentals can fill up quickly during peak times. By renting in advance, you'll ensure that you get the gear you need.
  8. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and plan accordingly. Summit County is known for its changing weather conditions, so it's important to be prepared for anything.
  9.  Be aware of your surroundings at all times and ski with caution. With all the excitement, it's easy to forget that skiing can be dangerous if you're not careful. Pay attention to other skiers and obstacles on the slopes and ski within your ability level.
