About Alexander Springs Wilderness
Alexander Springs Wilderness is a beautiful and untouched landscape full of springs, streams, wet prairies and dense forests. Visitors come to swim in the crystal clear waters or take an afternoon walk along one of the many trails. This 850-acre area is known for its prehistoric fossils and middens, ancient curved sand ridges created by Native Americans thousands of years ago.
