Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand RapidsThe Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids, established in 1882, it was originally known as the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie. It became a part of the Lansing diocese in 1881 after the province's first bishop moved to Lansing.
