About Wilson Reservoir

Wilson Reservoir is a man-made lake located in Elko County, approximately 15 miles west of Ruby Valley. The reservoir was created in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of a project to provide water for irrigation and livestock in the area.The lake covers an area of approximately 120 acres and has a maximum depth of 14 feet. It is fed by several small creeks and springs, and its waters are home to a variety of fish species, including rainbow and brown trout.
