About Kent-Delord House Museum

The Kent-Delord House Museum in Clinton County, is a historic house museum in the city of Plattsburgh. Built in 1797 by Major Benjamin Kent, a Revolutionary War soldier and early settler of Plattsburgh, the house offers visitors a glimpse into the life of a 19th century middle-class family. Restored to its original appearance, the house contains numerous period furnishings, artifacts, and art. Among the artifacts on display are 18th-century furniture, weapons, tools, and musical instruments.
