Phelps Mountain is located in the Adirondack Mountains of Essex County, New York. It stands at 4,161 feet high and is one of the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks. The mountain was named after Orson Phelps, who was an early settler in the area.The peak offers views of Lake Champlain, the High Peaks, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
