About Ghughua Fossil Park
Ghughua Fossil Park is a National Park, located in Dindori. Here fossils of trees of six and a half million years are preserved as an invaluable heritage. It was discovered here in 1970. Bandhavgarh FortThe Bandhavgarh Fort is situated in Bandhavgarh in Umaria district rising 811 meters above sea level at the centre of the Bandhavgarh National Park. It is surrounded by many smaller hills separated by gently sloping valleys. These valleys end in small, swampy meadows, locally known as 'bohera'. Balancing RockBalancing rock is an independent rock precariously balancing over another rock situated at the base of Madan Mahal Fort, 6 km from Jabalpur, The upper rock balances on the base of the lower rock. The physics of these rocks has also attracted a lot of geologists who keep visiting this place. One can walk further up to the Madan Mahal Fort and take a look around or climb up the watchtower in the fort complex to get extensive views of the other rocky formations found around.
Bargi DamBargi Dam in Jabalpur is constructed on the Narmada River and is one of the first completed dams in Madhya Pradesh which is 69 meters high. The magnificent picture of the Bargi Dam is a treat to the senses. It is also a good picnic spot and it comprises of two major irrigation projects, named Bargi Diversion Project and Rani Avantibai Lodhi Sagar Project.
