It is called Parunthumpara (eagle rock) because of its large rocky area with projection combined to look like an eagle facing the vast lands of the Western Ghat Mountains. This beautiful pine forest is situated in the heart of wagamon which is occupied by magnificent pine trees on steep slopes. This place is always crowded with tourists. This place is good for a nature walk and for photographs. There was an entry fee of 10rs to this picturesque spot.
