There is a lot to see inside and outside the Independence Palace. You can explore and engage with Vietnam's recent history. The building used to be the French coloniser's governors residence and office before it was turned into the Reunification Palace. You can see many reception rooms that have historical value to the development of Vietnam in the last 60 years. In case you get hungry there a three restaurants/ coffee shops on the premises and a playground for children. Finding the parking is a little tricky as you have to ride your bike on the sidewalk. Behind the ticket booth is the entrance for scooter parking.
