This is a massive nature reserve and a must visit when in the region. The reserve also is home to a monkey, ape and turtle sanctuary. Make sure to bring everything you need. I took a two hour trek through the forest to see an ancient tree. You can also visit caves and a botanical garden. This place is not as targeted to tourist as the sights around Ninh Binh. The next ATM and petrol station are about 15-20 KM away. It is important that you either go by bike/car or as part of a tour because the distances are too far to walk.
