Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural CentreInformally known as the Kuwait Opera House, it is a prominent cultural center in Kuwait. It is the largest cultural center and opera house in the Middle East.
Liberation TowerAt 372 meter high, the Liberation Tower is the second largest structure in Kuwait, it was named after the Iraqi invasion. It’s a telecommunication tower used by the ministry of transportation, but there is a fancy revolving restaurant and an observation deck which attracts a lot of visitors.
The Grand Mosque of KuwaitThe Great Mosque, also known for the locals as “Al-Masjid Al-Kabir” is the largest mosque in Kuwait, near the Persian Gulf. The mosque is built on Andalusian style and accommodates over 10,000 people, it also has a large library divided into two sections, the first section is for religious people, and the second is for the non-Arabic Muslims and the non-Muslims.
Al Hamra TowerWith a height of 414 meters, Al Hamra Tower is the tallest building in Kuwait, and the tallest carved concrete skyscraper in the world, besides its spectacular structure the tower contains other things that attract tourist such as the luxurious shopping center, restaurants, theaters, and a unique 900 square meter reception hall on the ground floor.
Abdullah Al Salem Cultural CentreA cultural complex located in Kuwait, owned by the Amiri Diwan. It consists of six main components; The Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Space Museum, Arabic Islamic Science Museum, Fine Arts Centre and the external spaces known as the Public Realm. The Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre is an 18-hectare site making it the world’s largest museum complex.

The Contemporary Art Platform includes a book shop, an art gallery, an events room and several offices. They always have exhibtions on of local and other artists. Every now and then there are events. To find out more about the events it is best to look at their instagram page. The opening times are every day accept of Fridays between 10 AM and 7 PM.

If you like coffee as much as I do and you are already in the industrial area of Shuweikh, you should definetly try out this coffee shop. What they serve is excellent I particularly like the decoration and design of the venue. It is located in the same building as the Contemporary Art Platform.
