The museum was named after Borgarsysla, the Old Norse name of Østfold county. Borgarsyssel Museum holds an extensive collection of artifacts and old objects from different periods of time. Fulehuk LighthouseFulehuk fyr is a lighthouse built in the early 1800's on the archipelago Rauer due southeast from Østre Bolæren. It was lit for the first time in 1821 and was closed as a lighthouse in 1989. The lighthouse offer accommodation up to 40 people in the lighthouse and Naustloftet. The lighthouse itself is operated by the association of Fuglehuks friends, looked after by the foundation Fulehuk Fyr. Its been renovated by the association, and visitors can enjoy the stunning view from the top of the towe
The Borre MoundsBorre mound cemetery forms part of the Borre National Park at Horten in Vestfold og Telemark, Norway.[2][3] It is the largest burial mound site in Northern Europe.It is home to seven large and 21 smaller burial mounds.
