About Stein Castle, Aargau
Stein Castle is a castle ruin above the municipality of Baden in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. The castle was built on a rocky promontory above Baden gorge sometime before 1000. In the late 11th century the castle came to the Lenzburg family. The castle was occupied by a bailiff and was the seat of the Austrian administration for Vorderösterreich and housed the archive.Address : Schlossbergweg, 5400 Baden, Switzerland
