About Lac de Longemer

The Lac de Longemer is an Ice Age glacial lake located in France in the Grand Est region in the Vosges department . The inflow and outflow of the lake is through the river Vologne . It is located on the western flank of the Vosges in a chain of lakes that includes the Lac de Retournemer upstream and the Lac de Gérardmer further downstream .

The lake has a length of 5,500 meters and it is the largest natural lake in the Vosges mountain range.
