Street Markets
A unique all women’s market, having 3000 “Imas” or mothers who run the stalls, it is split two sections on either side of road. Vegetables, fruits, fish and household groceries are sold on one side and exquisite handlooms and household tools on the other. Not far away is a street where beautiful wicker works and basketry are sold.

Old Ruins
This is an old palace at Imphal in Manipur (Kangleipak). It was situated on both sides (western and eastern) of the bank of the Imphal River. But now it remains only on the western side of the bank. Only the ruins remain now. Kangla means "dry land" in old Meetei. It was the traditional seat of the past Meetei rulers of Manipur.

The Manipur State Museum in Imphal was inaugurated on 23rd September 1969. The museum comprises galleries of archaeological, ethnology and natural history. Visiting the museum, one could see the main feature of the museum which is like a 54-feet long royal boat called Hiyang Hiren, which you would find showcased in the open gallery. Not just this, but tourists from across the globe visiting the Manipur State Museum come across the historical dossiers, war weapons etc.

The Manipur Zoological Gardens is located around 8 km from Imphal in Lamphelpat. This garden was established on 2nd October 1976, covering an area of around 8 hectares and is popular. It is described as the Jewel Box of the state, Manipur Zoological Garden is home to about four hundred common and rare species of animals and birds.

Located within the premises of Thangapat Mapal Palace Compound in Imphal East, Three Mothers Art Gallery is a museum that showcases the rich culture, tradition, history and heritage of the state through Driftwood Sculpture Art. The art gallery cum museum is run by the artist Shri Gurumayum Shyamsunder Sharma and the museum is situated in a single shed like room within an area of 1000 square feet. Established in 1978.

The Imphal War Cemetery is located in Imphal, the capital of the Indian state of Manipur, in Northeast India, which has an international border with upper Burma (now Myanmar).
