Aoral Wildlife SanctuaryThis 2538-sq-km sanctuary has the country's highest peak, Phnom Aural, and is just east of the Central Cardamoms National Park. Unfortunately, the area is being destroyed from the south and the east by corrupt land speculation and rampant illegal logging. But also it is one of the main attractions in this area by its flora and fauna.
Boutum Sakor National ParkBotum Sakor National Park is the country’s largest national park covers a designated 171,250 hectares that is under the administration of the Cambodian Ministry of Environment. It consists of a range of different habitats, from rolling hills and lowland evergreen forests to mangroves along the coast and tidal rivers.
Kirirom National ParkThe Kirirom National Park is located in Kampong Speu in southwest Cambodia in the Cardamom mountain range. It includes the Tonle Sap Lake, the most extensive freshwater lake in South-East Asia, which is located in the centre of the Tonle Sap Basin. It is surrounded by the Dong Rek Mountains to the north, the Cardamom Mountains to the southwest, and other small hills to the east that separate the basin from the Mekong River.
