Ambuklao Dam

Constructed in the 1950s, Ambuklao Dam was primarily built to provide energy to the Luzon grid. It was then the largest and highest dam in East Asia, which also serves as a flood control structure. Binga Dam or Binga Powerplant is a hydroelectric plant situated at Barrio Binga, Itogon, Benguet, Philippines. The plant was constructed in 1956 and was opened in 1960, three years after Ambuklao Dam was opened. It is located 31 km southeast of Baguio City and 19 km downstream of Ambuklao Dam. it was one of the attractions in this area and a lot of people visit this place every day.
