Aegidienkirche
Aegidienkirche was one of the three churches in the Old Town Hannover, built in the Gothic style in 1347. The church was destroyed in World War II and was left in ruins as a war memorial.

The Market church was built in Brick Gothic style in 1360. The church has a 97-meter-high tower which symbolizes the power and the wealth of the citizens of the town. The tower is one of Hannover’s landmarks and one of the highest towers in Lower Saxony.
