Albigna lake

Albigna Lake is located in the Graubunden canton of Switzerland. Originally a reservoir, the lake is housed within the Vicosoprano municipality. Situated on the southwestern edge of the Bregaglia valley, the Albigna Lake is surrounded by rocky valleys and terrains. Covered in snow, the cliffs add to the beauty of the lake and make it all the more charming. Part of the lake supplies outflow to the Mera River.

The Albula Pass links the Albula Valley with the Engadine. Driving this stretch in the summer guarantees wonderful views like that of the rough, weathered Albula Gorge. With a little luck, you may also spot the Rhaetian Railway on its way through the high mountains and across the impressive stone viaduct. The drive leads up to the summit and the high plateau, though a side trip to the “most beautiful spot in Switzerland”, the Lai da Palpuogna, is an absolute must.

Alp Grüm railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Poschiavo, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is located on the south side of Bernina Pass, on the Bernina line of the Rhaetian Railway. It serves the hamlet of Alp Grüm, which, except in summer, is accessible only from the railway. From the station, thanks mainly to the 180° curve immediately to the south, there are far-reaching views of the Palü Glacier, Lago Palu and the Puschlav.

The Bernina railway is a single-track 1,000 mm metre gauge railway line forming part of the Rhaetian Railway. It links the spa resort of St. Moritz, in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, with the town of Tirano, in the Province of Sondrio, Italy, via the Bernina Pass. Reaching a height of 2,253 metres above sea level, it is the highest railway crossing in Europe and the third highest railway in Switzerland.

A beautiful high mountain pass which was located in the heart of Grisons. It connects the famous resort town of St. Moritz in the Engadin valley with the Italian-speaking Val Poschiavo, which ends in the Italian town of Tirano in Valtellina. The pass lies a few kilometers east of Piz Bernina, and south of Val Minor. The pass was an important trade route over the Alps during the Middle Ages. The views from here are truly astonishing and it will be a nice experience riding through this pass.

Corviglia

Corviglia is a location on the eastern slopes of Piz Nair, overlooking St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden. It lies on the watershed between the rivers Schlattain and the Ovel da la Resgia, at an elevation of 2,486 m. Corviglia is mainly accessible from the town by the St. Moritz–Corviglia funicular, via Chantarella. At Corviglia, an aerial tramway climbs west to Piz Nair, unloading slightly below its summit.

The water from the lake forms a small stream and enters the Flem river after a very short run, not called a special name for its short length. Diavolezza is famous for its beautiful views of the eternal ice and the highest peaks of the Eastern Alps. The Diavolezza is a mountain viewpoint above the Val Bernina in Graubünden. It has an altitude of 2,973 metres and is located between Munt Pers and Piz Trovat. At the top station, there is a restaurant with a panoramic terrace, as well as a hotel offering both hotel-class and bunk-style accommodations.

Flüela Pass

Flüela Pass is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden. The road connects Davos and Susch in the lower Engadin valley. Since the Vereina Tunnel opened in 1999, the road is no longer guaranteed to be open all year. An NGO, Pro Flüela Verein, was established in 1990 to extend the opening outside the summer months. It raises money from membership fees, and grants from the cantonal government and local communes.
