Genoese towers in Corsica
The Genoese towers of Corsica are a series of coastal defenses built by the Republic of Genoa between the 15th and 18th centuries. There are around 70 towers still standing, and they are spread across the island. The towers were used as both lookout posts and defensive fortifications, and they were often manned by a small garrison of soldiers. In addition to their military function, the towers also served as a way for Genoa to assert its control over Corsica.

Maison Bonaparte
NAPOLEON BONAPARTE was born in this MAjestic castle in Ajaccio in 1769. Napoleon's birthplace, a large and simple residence, is now a museum devoted to the Bonaparte family in Corsica. The visit starts on the second floor with a historical evocation of Corsica in the 18th century and is followed by an introduction to members of the family. In 1967, the house was made into a museum and declared a national museum.

Pointe de la Parata
A majestic ruined Genoese tower located in the commune of Ajaccio which was built in 1550-1551 by Giacomo Lombardo. The tower is 12 m in height and has a diameter of 7.3 m at the level of the roof platform. It contains two vaulted rooms, one above the other which all gave a picturesque view of the sea and the area. One of the historical monument which was standing majestically in the seashore.

Torra di a Parata
The Torra di a Parata is a ruined Genoese tower located in the commune of Ajaccio which was built in 1550-1551 by Giacomo Lombardo. It was one of a series of coastal defenses constructed by the Republic of Genoa between 1530 and 1620 to stem the attacks by Barbary pirates. It offers Panoramic coastline views and also it can be reached by a rocky nature trail.
