Arbor Low is a Neolithic henge monument atmospherically set amid high moorland . Surrounded by unspoiled countryside with fantastic views over classic Derbyshire scenery. Within an earthen bank and ditch, a circle of some 50 white limestone slabs, all now fallen, surrounds a central stone 'cove' - a feature found only in major sacred sites. Bamford Edge

Bamford Edge is an overhang of gritstone rock that lies 1.5km north of the small village of Bamford in Derbyshire. It boasts unparalleled views across the Peak District. It has numerous trails across it and, on a clear day, provides views of almost all of the Hope Valley. Some trails come out at New Road opposite the Yorkshire Bridge public house.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse Railway Centre

Barrow Hill Roundhouse is the last surviving railway roundhouse in the United Kingdom with an operational turntable. Built-in 1870. it has a changing display of steam and diesel locomotives and other rolling stock, an operational signal box, the Roundhouse Halt platform, and Springwell Branch running line. Interpretative displays using items from the Museum’s own collection bring the fascinating story of the Roundhouse and the surrounding area vividly to life.

Bleaklow is a high, largely peat-covered, gritstone moorland, just north of Kinder Scout, across the Snake Pass, in the Derbyshire High Peak near the town of Glossop. It is one of three summits on this plateau above 2,000 feet, the others being Bleaklow Stones, some 1.9 miles to the east along an indefinite ridge, and Higher Shelf Stones. One of the nice trekking destinations and also you can spend some good times here.

The Blue John Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. This popular showcave is home to 8 of the 14 known veins of a rare form of fluorspar known as Blue John Stone. Visitors can view old mining equipment and visit the Waterfall Cavern and Grand Crystallized Cavern on regular guided tours. The cavern takes its name from the semi-precious mineral Blue John, which is still mined in small amounts outside the tourist season and made locally into jewelry.

Bolsover Castle

This hilltop castle was built as a fashionable retreat for 17th-Century courtiers to entertain influential guests. It was used by the Cavendish family of nearby Welbeck Abbey for short stays and day trips. Its experimental design and painted interiors represent an astonishing survival. The site is now in the care of the English Heritage charity, as both a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Carsington Water is a reservoir operated by Severn Trent Water located between Wirksworth and Kniveton in Derbyshire, England. The reservoir takes water from the River Derwent at Ambergate during winter months, pumping up to the reservoir by 10.5-kilometre (6.5 mi) long tunnels and aqueduct. Water is released back into the river during summer months for water abstraction and treatment further downstream. It is England's ninth largest reservoir with a capacity of 35,412 megalitres.

Cave Dale is a dry limestone valley in the Derbyshire Peak District, England. It was initially formed by glacial meltwater carving a deep narrow valley in the local soluble limestone. There are some wonderful limestone scenery and great views of the Derbyshire Dales countryside from the high points. The walk climbs to a height of over 1400ft so it is quite a challenging hike.

The majestic slopes and imposing crags of carboniferous limestone that form Chee Dale create a spectacular setting for a walk. Chesterfield Parish Church

It is the largest church in Derbyshire, a built-in local stone in a Decorated Gothic style. Altogether it’s a church much like any other in England, unremarkable except for its strangely crooked tower. It lies within the Diocese of Derby, in which it forms part of the Archdeaconry of Chesterfield. One of the iconic attractions in this area as well as a famous pilgrimage site too.

Codnor Castle

Codnor Castle, located near the village of Codnor, between Ripley and Heanor, was home to the powerful de Grey family for centuries during the medieval period, but now is regarding as a 'Building at Risk' by Historic England. The castle is a stone keep and bailey fortress and was established by William Peverel. The present fragmentary remains represent a three-storey keep and a strong curtain wall and ditch, flanked by round towers.

Creswell Crags is a spectacular magnesian limestone gorge with a honeycomb of caves that were occupied during the last Ice Age on the border between Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. The caves provided shelter for nomadic humans between 55,000 and 10,000 years ago, and stone tools, worked bone items and the remains of animals found there give some evidence about the lives of our ancestors.

Crich Tramway Village is the home of The National Tramway Museum which is an ideal destination for all ages. Visitors can ride the world-renowned vintage trams through their unique period street and out into the open countryside for spectacular views, explore fascinating exhibitions and watch as trams are restored from our Workshop Viewing Gallery. The museum's collection of trams runs through the village-setting with visitors transported one-mile out into the local countryside and back.

Cromford Canal

The Cromford Canal used to run for 14.5 miles from Cromford to Langley Mill where it met the Erewash Canal with a branch to Pinxton. Built by William Jessop with help from Benjamin Outram, it's mostly derelict but still makes for a beautiful Derbyshire canal walk. The canal is ideal for walkers of all ages and abilities, and with regular public transport stops along the northern stretch you don’t have to walk back to your starting point if you don’t want to.
