Allerthorpe Lakeland ParkAllerthorpe Lakeland Park is set in 53 acres of grounds and lakes. We offer a variety of watersports and activities suitable for all ages and abilities as well as a Lakeside Cafe, childrens play areas, woodland and lakeside walks and campsite. Plenty of local walks off site and places to visit in the local wolds town of Pocklington including the canals and Burnby Hall gardens.

Beverley BeckBeverley Beck is a short canal in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The beck runs from Grovehill Lock on the River Hull at Beverley west for about 0.8 miles into the town of Beverley. There's a nice footpath running along the pretty beck which you can pick up just to the east of the Minster and train station. The path runs for just under a mile until it joins with the River Hull. The canal is now it is home to the historic barge 'Syntan' owned by the Beverley Barge Preservation Society.

Beverley GuildhallThe Grade 1 Listed building was originally bought by the Beverley Town Keepers in 1501 to be used as a Guildhall, and has seen continuous civic use since. The building is still used for civic and ceremonial occasions and now also holds the Beverley Community Museum. There is also a Magistrates' Room with original 17th Century furniture and an elegant Mayor's Parlour with a silver collection dating back over several centuries.

Although the actual highest point is by the main road, and unattractive, the rest of this walk is a fine introduction to the region. This is a relatively easy circular walk that works well in either direction.

Bridlington PrioryBridlington Priory is a majestic church which was in Bridlington’s Old Town and was founded as an Augustinian monastery in 1113 and was from the start a rich and important religious house. Inside the church, as well as beautiful soaring columns and impressive stained glass windows, visitors can learn about the history of the Priory through a fascinating series of appliquéd pictures. It was one of the main pilgrimage sites in this area as well as a tourist attraction too.

The promenade stretches for over a mile, and there are plenty of benches where you can sit and watch the world go by. Burnby Hall GardensBurnby Hall Gardens, also known as Stewart's Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum, are located close to the centre of Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire. They are home to the United Kingdom's national collection of hardy water lilies, and contain the largest such collection to be found in a natural setting in Europe. The lakes, originally created for fishing, are stocked with ornamental roach and carp that visitors can hand feed.

It is a truly magnificent stately house that is also a warm and wonderful home. Burton Agnes Hall is a glorious example of Elizabethan architecture; built between 1598 and 1610 by Sir Henry Griffith, it has stayed in his family for more than four centuries.

Burton BushesBurton Bushes consists of approximately 26 acres of natural woodland on the western boundary of the Beverley Westwood pasture. Thew woodland is a remnant of the primeval forests that once covered the pasture area. It is one of the special areas with a scientific interest.
